Overview

Your day starts with a scenic drive to one of Costa del Sol’s main ports – either Gibraltar, Algeciras or Tarifa. From here, cruise across the Straits of Gibraltar aboard a high-speed ferry to the Morocco before continuing by coach to Tangier. The sea crossing takes around 45-60 minutes and offers a chance to enjoy some fresh air and great views of both the Spanish and North African coastline. On arrival in Tangier enjoy a guided tour of the city for a true flavour of the Arab world. See the Kasbah, dating from the 17th century, this former Sultanate Palace is built on the highest point in the city and from here you can enjoy wonderful views across the Straits of Gibraltar and the rest of the city. Also see the central market, Tangier Souk and the Old Quarter. You morning concludes with a chance to watch a local snake charmer before lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant where you will be entertained by belly dancers.

In the afternoon your sightseeing continues with a walking tour through the Medina and bazaar. As you explore the narrow atmospheric streets your guide will provide a fascinating insight to the local history and culture. There is some free time to purchase typical Moroccan products before your return back to the port.
