Karlovy Vary is the most famous Bohemian Spa and was named after the Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV. In the 19th Century many royals and famous persons visited the spa to use the treatments and springs, amongst the many that visited were Goethe, Schiller, Beethoven, Chopin and Karl Marx. Walk along the Spa colonnades and explore the thermal springs where the water averages 72ºC and there is also the chance to taste the famous mineral water, taste the local wafers and enjoy a traditional herbal Bercherovka liqueur. The area is also famous for china and glass manufacturing and after lunch, you will be taken to the Moser Factory to see the glass exhibition.
