After a short drive from Chang Rai you will arrive at the boat landing on the Mae Kok River for the first part of your adventure. Board a long-tail speed boat for an exciting hour long cruise on this beautiful river through verdant jungle and towering mountain cliffs. Your journey will take you past several local hill and jungle tribes that inhabit the area and your guide will gladly provide an insight into these friendly people and their distinct culture, religion, language, art, and dress.
Eventually your boat will arrive at the Karen Hilltribe Village, where you leave the boats behind and join an elephant trek into the hills. This memorable two hour adventure will take you up and down hills through the jungle to a Yao hill tribe Village. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before visiting an Akha hill tribe to learn more about the fascinating hill tribe culture.
