Overview
A short drive brings you to the Mae Sa Elephant Camp, situated on the banks of a small river. Here you will have the chance to watch these amazing creatures take their daily bath and then witness the traditional training techniques still used today. Marvel at the amazing skills before joining an adventurous elephant trek through the lush jungle and over hilly trails. The tour then continues by in appropriate vehicles to a Meo hill tribe. The Meo hill tribe originated in south China and are currently Thailand’s second largest hill tribe group and this visit will enable you to learn about their unique way of life and explore the tribal huts. Lunch is taken at a local restaurant and then you enjoy the second part of this adventure. Board an ATV – All Terrain Vehicle or Quad bike – for an exhilarating trail ride along the areas most scenic mountain tracks. On the return journey to Chiang Mai, the tour stops at the Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden which is dedicated to the preservation of over 700 species of Thai plants.
