If you’re a tea lover you will also get the opportunity to try local teas in a centuries-old tradition, an elegant tea ceremony. Keeping in the spirit of local delicacies lunch will be taken at a local restaurant.
After lunch you will visit the spectacular gardens at Prince Gong’s beautiful mansion, Beijing’s largest and best preserved Qing Dynasty royal mansion. To give your legs a rest you will be chauffeured by rickshaw, also known as pedicabs through the hutongs, (narrow streets), visiting a home of a typical Chinese family and once you have regained energy from the pedicabs ride you can climb to the top of an old drum tower to experience the exquisite views of the surrounding area.
