Customer Review

After a month travelling round the North Island, I had heard great stories of the beauty of Golden Bay and Farewell Spit, one of the most stunning nature reserves in the whole of NZ. I wasn't disappointed! You can't actually access Cape Farewell unless it's with a tour as the area is totally protected to preserve the fragile wildlife and ecosystem. It IS beautiful. Immense blue sky, the Spit curving away for miles into the ocean, the only noise the birds, the wind, the waves. We had a really interesting guide who totally went out of his way to answer questions and pointed out so much stuff about the flora and fauna of the area that afterwards I felt like an expert! Great way to see a really unique part of the South Island; in fact definitely one of the best trips I did in NZ.
