A thrilling excursion where you will experience hard camel backs and the soft, wind-driven sand.

Since the tour includes some outdoor exercise and adventure, it departs early in the day to avoid the blistering midday Dubai heat.  Initially, you’ll be taken to the Aweer campsite where a half-hour camel ride awaits you followed by cold refreshments and a short comfort / photo break.

Sand boarding is the latest craze to hit Dubai and this tour takes you to the largest sand dune in the surrounding desert.  It’s not nearly as difficult as snow-skiing and very easy to master quickly.  So, you’ll get a quick lesson and then given a mono-board to race down the dune on.

Then, you’ll be given the opportunity to experiment on a quad bike.  The fat wheels and low centre of gravity means that even a novice can get very adventurous, racing up and down the specially created track.

You’ll be back at your hotel by midday for a well deserved swim at your hotel pool or in the sea.

Lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year although in the winter months it’s probably advisable to take a jumper or light jacket.  We also advise that you take good quality sunglasses, trainers, suncream and a cap.

PLEASE NOTE: Tour requires a minimum of 4 persons to operate. Don’t worry if there are less than 4 persons in your party, you will be placed with other customers.

The 4x4 vehicles used are air-conditioned and carry a maximum capacity of 6 passengers plus driver. All drivers are qualified off-road professionals; first-aid trained and carry mobile phones. All vehicles are equipped with seat-belts and passengers are required to wear them at all times.

This safari trip takes you through rugged routes intended to create an adventurous and exciting experience. Therefore, children under the age of three years old are not permitted.  

Tour does not operate in the summer months as the desert conditions are too hot to do so comfortably.
