Your tour starts with a visit to Old Cairo, home to the famous Citadel. Built in 1176, the Citadel occupies a lofty position overlooking Cairo and her surrounds and was inhabited by nearly all Egyptian rulers for the next 700 years. Within the walls you will find the Mohamed Ali Mosque. Also referred to as the Alabaster Mosque, it is adorned with white marble, alabaster and bronze decorations. Your guide will then take you across the square where you will discover the stunning Sultan Hassan Mosque. Built in 1356, the mosque is considered to be one of the finest pieces of Islamic architecture and its beauty will leave you breathless. Your tour concludes with a visit to the bustling Khan-el-Khalili bazaar where you can haggle for wares including handmade gifts, leather goods, spices and Egyptian fabrics.

Casual. Dress according to the weather for that day. A sunhat, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended. Appropriate dress covering the shoulders and legs is required for entering the mosques.   PLEASE NOTE: Price based on a minimum of two persons travelling. A single supplement of £11 applies for all single person bookings. In most temples and museums in Egypt, an additional fee for photo and video cameras is requested. In general you can expect approximately 5 - 10 Egyptian Pounds for photo cameras, and approximately 100 Egyptian Pounds for video cameras.
