Marmaris is one of Turkey's most sophisticated and multi-faceted resorts. It is built around a sweeping natural bay at the foot of steep pine-covered mountain slopes. The old town is a maze of twisting little streets and alleys with whitewashed houses in the Turkish style amid an excellent shopping bazaar. Whether you are wining and dining, quenching your thirst in a restaurant, or haggling for souvenirs, the value for money is incredible. The people are charming, friendly and well-known for their hospitality.

Your day starts with an early cruise from the Port of Rhodes to Marmaris. The journey takes around an hour and on arrival in Turkey, there is a short drive through the harbour and bazaar area to visit a local carpet shop to learn how carpets are made. The rest of the day is free for shopping and exploring, head to the bazaar where you will discover spice shops, jewellery shops, carpet shops, restaurants and cafes. Don't be surprised by all the invitations you get from shop owners, to have a cup or two, of Alma Cai ( Apple Tea) – it’s all part of the famous Turkish hospitality.
