Gastronomy is an integral part of Barcelona’s cultural heritage and this fascinating walking tour is a must for all food lovers. Your enthusiastic guide will introduce you to the food history and the tour will take you to some of her most important restaurants and food outlets.

At the historic La Boqueria Market discover a huge variety of colourful local produce market including vegetables, fish, meat and fruit. From here you will also be taken to the Granja Viader where the chocolate milk drink Cacaolat was invented in 1931 and discover the exquisite pastries at Pastisseria Escribà.

Other highlights include Botifarreria de Santa Maria which is famous for its hams and sausages and Tostaderos Casa Gispert which specialises in roasting coffee and nuts. Opened in 1851, the shop retains its original furniture and old wood-burning oven: the only one of its kind in Europe.
