This leisurely walking tour takes you through the bustling streets of Barcelona and introduces you to Spain's fundamental flavors and culinary habits. A great introduction to the city, go where the locals go, eat what they eat and discover some of the best bars, cafes and restaurants.   

The tour starts on one of Barcelona’s most famous streets, ‘Las Ramblas’. Bustling throughout the night and day, here you will find cages full of birds, its tapas bars and little local restaurants with hams hanging above the bar. Savour the unique atmosphere as you stroll along the street accompanied by your guide and then head into the world-famous Boqueria market. This wonderful open-air food market is home to an amazing array of fresh produce including fruit and vegetables, live seafood, cheeses and every type of meat imaginable. Taste some of Catalonia’s best products before continuing towards the gothic quarter where you will discover architecture, atmosphere, language and gastronomy that are unique in Spain

Stop at a lively Mediterranean brasserie located in the heart of old Barcelona near the gothic cathedral. Here you can enjoy four appetising montaditos (tapas) and two glasses of wine or beer.  Afterwards, explore the Gothic Quarter where you will discover some of the gourmet shops that date back over 100 years. A final stop will be at Lizarran restaurant with a wide selection of delectable pintxos, situated in Barcelona’s city centre.  Here you will enjoy 3 pintxos with a glass of wine or cider, while your food and wine guide explains the flavors of the wine, the cuisine and the cultures present in Spain.

La Boqueria market - dating from the 12th century. Here you will see many stalls selling fresh produce including fruit, vegetables, seafood and meat.

Escriba – famous Barcelona Bakery

Cafe de l'Opera - opened in 1929 in the same place as the old chocolateria La Mallorquina.

Irati - Basque Taparia in the center of the Gothic quarter.

Granja "La Pallaresa" - discover chocolate in homemade cups and the swiss one comes with whip cream on top.

Fargas - a century old establishment specialized in workmanship of bonbons and chocolate.

Els 4 Gats - discover the concept of spiritual food.

La Catedral - the cathedral of Barcelona is a temple which began construction in 1298 and finished in 1420.

Casa Gispert -dedicated to drying fruits and the art of roasting.

La Botifarreria de Santa Maria- a traditional meat store.

La Vinya del Senyor – dedicated to wine.

Cafes el Magnifico - daily they roast 25 different types of coffee, which are sold all over the world.
