I decided to book the Astronaut Training Experience at Kennedy Space Centre after seeing it on the Do Something Different website for my 17 year old son Josh as a treat for his birthday whilst we were on holiday in Orlando, Florida. My son is totally fascinated by space exploration and I have to say this was worth every penny just to see the look on his face all through the day. He had the best time and much to my amazement so did I! The tour starts at 9am and finishes at 4pm with a great buffet lunch for an hour in the day. The highlights were definately the 1/6th Chair experience and the multi axis trainer which give you some idea of how it feels when you are in space. The only downside was that they decided who were part of the astronaut crew and who were in the control room team for the mission towards the end of the day. A must for space buffs of all ages.
