"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you did not do than by the things you did do. So, throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain
Little more than 50 years ago, Abu Dhabi was no more than a fort surrounded by a modest village of date palm huts. Today it is the ultra modern capital of UAE and is often referred to as the Arabian Jewel.

Overview
Your journey from Dubai will take you past the Jebel Ali Port, the largest man-made port in the entire world on the road to Abu Dhabi. Here you will discover an ultra modern city situated on an island. Towering skyscrapers and glittering glass facades abound everywhere in he city, but a generous sprinkling of parks and gardens help maintain Abu Dhabi’s reputation as being one of the greenest cities in the region. On arrival in the city, visit the Petroleum Exhibition where you can enjoy an informative film on ‘black gold’ and the amazing rise of the city in the last 30 years. You will then be given some time for lunch – this is not included, but your guide will happily help make arrangements at a local restaurant of your choice – before heading to the dhow harbour where you can witness the age-old method of traditional dhow building. Your tour then continues to the beautiful Al Husn Palace, Abu Dhabi’s oldest building dating from the 18th century before concluding with a relaxing drive along the scenic Corniche to the end of the breakwater offering splendid views of the city skyline.
