Departing from Darwin, your coach takes you south on the Arnhem Highway, crossing the Adelaide River and over the Marrakai Plains to Nourlangie Rock. This tranquil area boasts amazing Aboriginal art sites and beautiful lookouts over the surrounding area. Your guide will relate tales of the Aboriginal people and their forms of art as you walk through this area admiring the native wildlife.

After lunch you will embark on the famed Yellow Water Billabong Cruise and search for saltwater crocodiles. This cruise through the fabulous wetland demonstrates the variety of bird life that the Kakadu National Park is famous for. At the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre you will learn about the customs and traditions of the Aboriginal people who live in the Kakadu National Park.

In the evening you will sleep in comfort at the Aurora Kakadu. Set within 10 hectares of dense bushland the hotel is a great place to wind down after a day of adventure before setting off for another day in the National Park in the morning. You will arrive between 6pm and 7 pm so there is plenty of time to cool off in the pool or simply sit back in the shade in one of the manicured relaxation areas and watch the goannas, corellas, wallabies and geese wander through the complex around you.

The next morning starts with an optional flight over the Arnhem Land Escarpment (at own expense). To the east of Kakadu National Park, Arnhem Land is a beautiful unspoiled area

Please dress for the conditions when you depart for your tour.
Sensible walking shoes are required as the tour does include some walking on uneven trails.
A sun hat, sunscreen, and long sleeved shirt are recommeded to avoid sunburn.
