After an early rise on Day One of your safari you will head south from Alice Springs through the picturesque gorges of the James and Waterhouse Ranges. After a visit to the Outback Camel Farm you arrive at your outback camp site in Yulara for a hearty Aussie lunch. The afternoon sees you exploring the remarkable monoliths of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and learning a little about Aboriginal culture. Both Uluru and Kata Tjuta are at their best at sunset as the light changes their appearance from deep ochre to a bright, gleaming orange and finally to a deeper red as the sun disappears. You will experience Uluru as the sun sets before returning to your campsite for a dinner beneath the stars. After your meal relax around the campfire with your fellow campers before retiring for a night spend either under a blanket of stars or in the comfort of your tent.
Day Two starts with a wholesome breakfast and a spectacular sunrise over Uluru before you head off for a day of exploration. Your knowledgeable guide will lead you on a base tour of Uluru, explaining ancient Aboriginal culture as you visit several sites of great importance to the Anangu people. You may also have the opportunity to climb Uluru before it is time for lunch and your return journey to Alice Springs.
